CME Architects is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to help meet the growing demand for our
services. As an Assistant Project Manager you will collaborate with project teams, working on a variety of building
types, renovations, additions and tenant fit-ups throughout the region.
CME Architects specializes in Commercial and Residential projects. Our portfolio includes new construction,
additions/renovations, multi-family and tenant fit-ups. Our company operates through a collaborative, fast-paced and
casual working environment, with a strong focus on efficiency, building solid client relationships and creativity in
meeting their design needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as
necessary. Ability to climb ladders to access up above ceilings and roofs, as well as having a dependable
vehicle, is required.
Draw rough and detailed scale floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, roof plan, building structure, building
sections, based on field measurements, preliminary concepts, sketches and other info/data, including input
from client meetings.
Prepare Schematic Design documents: floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, exterior elevations and building
sections using AutoCAD software. Communicate with client and/or Principal/Project Manager to obtain their
input on building design and make changes as necessary.
Review/analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and
reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
Prepare Construction Documents and specifications for permitting and pricing, using AutoCAD software.
Prepare colored drawings of building exteriors and interiors for presentation to clients.
Coordination with structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineers and incorporate
designs/layouts/details in Construction Documents.
Redlining and managing drawings created by Drafters for multiple projects in an effective and timely
manner.
Working closely with team members and Partners to work through design details and information after initial
client meetings and/or correspondence.
Manage schedules and timelines to prevent delays and ensure that projects are on time and on budget.
Qualifications, Qualities + Skills:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree of Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
3-5+ years of previous experience in commercial architecture
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate ideas and instructions clearly and
effectively to small teams.
Genuine ability to build and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to maintain and track the progress of
multiple ongoing projects.
3D rendering experience a plus.
Knowledge of construction methodologies and have the ability to develop working construction documents.
Experience with performing site survey and existing conditions measuring required.
